Description:

BirdLife International is an active leading conservation non-government organization (NGO) in over 100 countries worldwide with a combination membership of almost three million people. Based in Cambridge (UK), BirdLife is currently implementing a conservation programme in Cambodia via programme office in Phnom Penh. BirdLife International Cambodia Programme is urgently looking for a suitable Cambodian applicant to fill the post of Administrative/Finance Officer.

Overall purpose of job:

To be responsible for managing the BirdLife Cambodia Programme accounting system, budget follow up, and be an office manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative duties:

  • Ensure proper office filing system and library
  • Assist in formulation and update of contract for staff and consultants
  • Provide logistic support to programme staff such as assist in organize meetings, workshop, travel documents etc.
  • Assist with communication with partners and other stakeholders.
  • Dealing with all programme taxation
  • Assist the expatriate staff with English-Khmer-English translation services when require.
  • Managing office staff (Finance/Administrative Assistant, driver, cleaner, guard)
  • Lead office staff to ensure the effective day-to-day programme office running
  • Maintaining all necessary office equipment and supplies

 

Accounting Duties:

  • Leading Administrative and financial staffs in processing day-to-day programme accounts to be sent to Secretariat
  • Proficiency with double-entry accounting systems.
  • Monitoring and manage the overall budget (expenditures, salaries, incomes) of the program, including the separate distribution and movement of several donor fund sources
  • Prepare regular and periodic accurate, professional, and complete financial reports for regional offices, and donors.
  • Be responsible for maintaining bank accounts, transactions & transfers, payments, expenditures, receipts, etc.
  • Assist in coordinate regularly with BirdLife regional and international financial staff to synchronize financial procedures, and fund transfers.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related decree
  • 4 years working in field Finance/Administrative.
  • Financial planning and analysis skill
  • Very Good in written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with taxation.
  • Advance computer skill (MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, E-mail).
  • Ability to translate and produce high-quality written reports in English.
  • The ability to successfully perform the job functions with a limited degree of supervision.
  • Highly organized, punctual, detail-oriented, and professional.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality and works well with others.
