Project for Improving Continuum of Care with focus on Intrapartum and Neonatal Care in Cambodia (JICA/IINeoC Project) is a technical cooperation project of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), is seeking for qualified Cambodian nationals to work as the following positions.

Technical Assistant 2 positions Deadline: March 25th (Fri) Noon 12:00

Main Tasks:

1. Support JICA experts in all implementation process of project activities (Activity planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting) in Project target provinces under supervision of JICA experts

2. Coordinate and communicate with Cambodian-side stakeholders and JICA experts to have activity smoothly

3. Interpret in Khmer-English in conferences, meetings, and site visits, when necessary.

4. Support and arrange logistics for conference/meetings, visitors and other activities

5. Support JICA experts to collect information and communicate outside agencies

6.  Support project activities in Kg.Cham and Svay Rieng provices

Requirements (Qualifications and Experience)

1. University degree; Field of medicine, nursing, midwifery, or related fields would be of an advantage

2. Native tongue in Khmer and excellent speaking, reading and writing ability in English

3. Professional experience; working for international organizations especially health sector would be a strong asset

Competencies required

1. Ability to work independently with a minimum supervision as well as ability to work as a team.

2. Sufficient ability to read and summarize the relevant documents such as reports issued by government agencies or relevant donor parties.

3. Proficiency with relevant computer programs (internet, email, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)

4. Strong commitment to learn and improve, especially JICA’s regulation

5. Good communication skill

Working Information

1. Work location: National Maternal and Child Health Center (#31A, St.47, Sras Chork, Daun Penh, Phnom Penh) with occasional travels to the provinces.

2. Working Days and Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00am-12:00am, 2:00pm-5:00pm
