Job Description

Title: Credit Manager

Location: Phnom Penh; some travel to provincial branches as needed

Start date: as soon as possible

Salary: up to $1,800 depending on experience

Reports to: Head of Operation (HOO)

Background: i-Finance Leasing is a leading, independent and fast-growing international financial institution providing leasing products for Cambodian companies and individuals. We are looking for a Credit Manager to support our expansion. This is a unique opportunity to join a professional and ambitious team.

About you: The Credit Manager will be mainly responsible for oversea the implementation of the Credit Policy and Procedure; Oversea the Collection Policy and Procedure and Regularly monitor the Collection Performance and be the Credit Quality Controller (by oversea the Data Analysis Management in order to improve the Credit Scoring Parameters). You will work directly with the HOO and related department managers. You should have a common understanding of Credit Processing Role in financial institutions.


Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Oversea the implementation the Company’s Credit Policy and Procedure.
  • Daily Management and Control of Credit Assessment process.
  • Controlling Portfolio Quality (PAR 30days), through direct management of the Credit Team.
  • Conduct on-site checks and ensure strict adherence to company policies.
  • Support HOO to implement the Credit Scoring System to Ensure Steady Sale Growth and Balance the Credit Quality.
  • Develop and prepare the timely and accurate of portfolio quality Report and credit risk reports and Interpret the data and suggest actions to Senior Management and the Credit Committee.
  • Lead the development and enhancements of the Credit Risk Measurement Framework, which includes determination of probability of default, loss given default, and exposure at default measurements (e.g. Credit Management System, IFRS 9 implementation)
  • Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by Senior Management or supervisor.


Your experience and skills:


  • BBA degree in the field of Finance & Banking or related fields
  • At least 3 years plus experience in roles of Credit Management within banking, microfinance or leasing company
  • Understanding of NBC regulations related to Credit Process.
  • Ability to manage the young and enthusiastic subordinates and motivate them to get job done efficiently.
  • Capable of professional discussions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
  • Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
