Description: Job Responsibilities :
  • Handling (with team) import and export works of all products under division as assigned (customs clearance as main duty).
  • Working closely with stakeholder in different locations to get all information and supporting documents to prepare for the cost procuring and transportation arrangement
  • In case of unexpected delay on incoming or outgoing shipments, or any unexpected cost incurred, he/she will work closely to get all the stakeholders informed seeking approval from top management and take necessary actions to address the issue within his/her own authorities without delay
  • In a proactive manner, Assistant Logistics Manager is taking full responsibilities for processing and assuring all necessary documents needing to process import/export cargo are ready prior to shipment date and complete arrangement with competent authorities (and/or company legal consultant) has to be settled in a cooperative and timely manner (certificate of origins, updating master list, certificate of compliance, cut stock, business/import/export licenses are to name but a few);
  • Filing and managing all necessary shipping documents in proper and chronological order.
  • Proactively communicate with various involving parties for shipment planning from the aspect of transportation and other relating costs- including tax and ad-hoc charges-coordination and arrangement;
  • Preparing shipment/volume reports and follow up; assure all shipments are moved with good track and milestones are timely updated to stakeholders;
  • Working closely with planning/purchasing teams and other stakeholders to plan and execute the import/export works to leverage efficiency and effectiveness
  • Working closely with Fin to minimize logistics costs and lead time
  • Closely working with direct line manager to propose and build necessary processes with regards to logistics and the likes to enforce and ensure standardization
  • Be the anchor point for logistics advise in the company
  • Ensure the optimized route and shortest lead-time are procured for the business with effective cost
  • Working to set up supplier KPIS and keeping track on the performance and regularly reporting to top management
  • Communicating the performance to supplier and seeking for improvement actions with close follow-up;
  • Continuously reviewing the current process and aiming to build a better way of working and environment
  • Collaborate with supplier to build a closer and cooperative business relationship
  • Working hand in hand with FIN team to assure the transparent invoicing processes and minimum operational cost are of priorities
  • Working with other business units under the group to coordinate and develop a process driven supply chain connection.

Job Requirements :
  • Hands on experience in Shipping and Logistics is a must (customs clearance, document processing);
  • Having experience in international environment is a good advantage;
  • Knowledge and experience in freight/transportation cost procurement;
  • Proving good connection with competent authorities and service providers dealing with import/export shipment handling and processing;
  • Be a process driven and self-initiated;
  • Able to deliver result with minimum supervision;
  • Open-minded high sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Analytical and detailed oriented sense of urgency
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, as well as good inter-personal skill;
  • Ability to work under pressure and highly self-motivated;
  • Possess continuous mindset and way of working:
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Microsoft project is preferable.
  • Good English proficiency, both speaking and writing;
